"A Bunch of Amateurs" by Nick Newman and Ian Hislop

Washed-up Hollywood star Jefferson Steel is deceived by his agent into playing King Lear in an amateur community production in a small English town. Expecting a suite at a fancy hotel, the actor finds himself lodging in a bed and breakfast. And instead of Kenneth Branagh and Dame Judi Dench, the cast are a bunch of amateurs trying to save their theatre from developers!
