Mether: Oscillate Wildly

Throughout November, December 2019 and January 2020, Yan Tan Tether will be taking over two windows of the Piazza Shopping Centre in Huddersfield.

Oscillate Wildly is a group video show featuring Ben Moon, Tomas Jefanovas and Emily Bailey.

Ben Moon is an audio visual artist and designer currently based in London, UK. He has worked predominantly in audio visual installation and performance, live visuals and video mapping. Ben has worked on dance and physical theatre productions as a lighting and set designer. He has released a wealth of recorded audio material under various pseudonyms, including Forest Creature and Sounding. Ben's practice blends analogue video and audio techniques alongside more contemporary digital methods and focuses on the fascination with creating alternative digital space, often using multiple screens to focus on differing aspects of a architectural space.

Tomas Jefanovas is an artist and designer, born in Vilnius (1986) and based in London since 2006. He explores the synergy of visual, sound and space through composition, installation and live performance work. Often collaborative, his work crosses disciplines between video art, design, music, film and theatre.

Emily Bailey is a visual artist and predominantly create moving image based work which is very processed centred, often employing both analogue and digital techniques. Bailey’s practice involves producing works live and creating ephemeral and temporary audiovisual pieces in pursuit of creating visual music. Through her work Bailey explores mental topographies and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Bailey has exhibited and performed across the UK, with highlights being at the Whitechapel Gallery, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the London Short Film Festival. Ritual is a short animation that imagines a shamanic tale of good verses evil in the pursuit of transcendence.
