a-n Launch Event: Insurance for Freelance Arts Practitioners

The Artists Information Company, 'a-n' are launching a bespoke insurance package for creative freelancers developed by specialist arts brokers Hencilla Canworth, at a launch event in Brighton on 29th November.

Responding to the surge in freelance working and a dynamically changing arts landscape, this insurance offers £1m Professional Indemnity Insurance and £5m Public and Products Liability cover. It has been developed specifically for freelancers working in arts consultancy, curating, commissioning, project management and research. Costing £94.50, it is only available to members of a-n's Arts Organisers' scheme, which you can join at a specially discounted rate for this event only (or full price at any other time).

The event is an opportunity to find out about the new services a-n is developing for arts freelancers, gain an insight into a-n's comprehensive online resources, and how these can help you in your professional life. Solicitor Nicholas Sharp of Swan Turton, a contracts specialist, will be available for a legal Q&A and key tips on the legal aspects of working as a freelancer, as well as explaining how to access discounted legal advice negotiated especially for a-n members.
