Workshop: Managing Your Money
Knowing how selling work will affect your benefits is essential to managing anxiety. Keeping proper records is important for tax and benefit systems and planning ahead financially can help you create a long term artistic career. This all day workshop will look at how to keep account books, what is considered allowable artistic expenditure and practice exercises to help you get to grips with figures and budgets for use in grant applications. There will be an opportunity for one to one advice on finances – though only the DHSS can accurately advise on impact of income on your benefits.
Creative Future is a charity that works with marginalised artists and writers - those who experience mental health problems, substance misuse issues, learning or physical disabilities, long term unemployment or social exclusion of any kind.
