Moretonhampstead Carnival Thursday 28th

Moretonhampstead's 89th Summer Carnival will take place on Thursday 28th August 2014 and you're invited!

Come and see what is probably the best town carnival in Devon and most certainly the largest of it's kind on Dartmoor

Activities start on Carnival Day at around 10am with fun for the children in The Square where you will find Face Painters, Bouncy Castles, Games, Street Entertainers, Music and Charity Stalls

Come early and enjoy the sights and hospitality of Moretonhampstead - A Traditional Dartmoor Market town that dates back to Saxon Times

Follow the Town Trail, Enjoy a real Devonshire Cream Tea at one of our Tea Rooms or a drink in one of our excellent pubs but make sure that you get a good spot for viewing the Grand Carnival Procession that in recent years has contained as many as 80 floats!

But it doesn't end there - Once the Carnival Procession has gone through the partying continues with even more live music from bands in the square and the Funlands Fun Fair open 'til late!

We're easy to find on the A382 6 miles from the A38 at Bovey Tracey or 9 miles from the A30 at Whiddon Down
