Artist Development Day 15th September - Exeter
Exeter Visual Arts Forum and The Bike Shed Theatre are holding an Artist Development Day. This is intended for visual and performance artists and theatre makers or anyone with an interest in developing in the areas around making work.
Speakers for the day include industry professionals and experts, covering a range of subjects that are vital to career development in visual, performance and performing arts.
9am : Breakfast
10-12.30pm : Speakers in the auditorium, group discussion.
1.30- 4pm : 1-1 clinics and networking.
Angela Yarwood - (Owner, Managing Director Brook Gallery) CVs and portfolios, presenting yourself and your work.
Josie Sutcliffe - (Coach and Facilitator / Joint Project Director at Dreadnought South West) Giving and receiving criticism, critical friends and shadow curators.
Belinda Dillon - (Arts Editor) Writing and presenting your press release, promotional relationships.
Philip Butterworth - (Relationship Manager Touring, Arts Council England) and
Ceri Johnson - (Visual Arts Officer, Arts Council England) Funding from the Arts Council, constructing and writing G4A bids.
Cost - £5 for the whole day including lunch and refreshments (please state any dietary requirements when booking)
