Art, Exhibits and Exhibitions Curator, Eden Project

Fixed term contract (maternity cover) until June 2019
32 hours per week
£27,345 pa pro-rata

We are looking for a curator to project manage the curation of artworks, exhibits and exhibitions installations as part of Eden Project’s Invisible Worlds (IW) project.

The post-holder should be experienced in developing and delivering innovative and exciting programmes of commissions, exhibitions and events. These will be linked to contemporary narratives within the Invisible Worlds programme. Experience in all aspects of curatorial project management and exhibition design including budget, people and time management is essential. Experience of producing designed artwork and plans is desirable.

You will require knowledge of local (especially mid and East Cornwall), national and international art networks and will need an understanding of the criteria associated with Wellcome Trust and Arts Council supported projects. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be liaising with a range of partner organisations. For this role you will need to be a quick thinker, adaptable, patient and calm under pressure. An enthusiasm for outdoor, sculptural and digital art and working outside the gallery environment would be an advantage.
