Creative Minds has an exciting opportunity with support from Children in Need to develop a network of choirs for young people using South West Yorkshire NHS Foundation Trust services including Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Insight teams in Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. The Choir sessions will run for two hours and this will include Singing for Fun and choir practise time. We will include time to visit other choirs for inspiration and opportunities for the emerging choirs to perform in public both locally and across the districts.

We are looking for a qualified creative practitioner with experience of leading this type of session who can inspire and develop potential participants. Each session will have support worker who will have some time to develop the group and support the activities.

This post will be for 8 hours per week for up to 40 weeks to include delivering the 30 session in each area and some time for preparation and supporting a performance. The person will be employed at a sessional rate of £25 per hour and could be delivered by 4 separate practitioners
