Web / Social Media Marketing Assistant - Torquay

Web Designer / Social Marketing Apprentice

Duties include:

· Developing Social media presence
· Dealing with direct enquiries (from prospective clients) and helping to develop an integrated process
· Arrival and leavers photographs of students
· Collecting video testimonials for marketing
· Helping to develop new marketing tools - such as school promo video
· Monthly newsletter - managing sign up sheet, collecting material, writing, designing, sending out
· Statistics for marketing - ages, nationalities, class sizes, etc using excel
· Running reports to monitor student numbers and nationalities in busy periods
· Weekly reports - nationalities and ages
· Presentation for television in student lounge - updating weekly and putting on daily.
· Assisting with website design, development and maintenance

Less specific, admin-type duties might include:

· Making up student folders
· Sending out welcome letters
· helping on reception during busy periods
· photocopying passports
· teas and coffees for business clients
· answering phone
· filing

Weekly Wage £187.50

37.5 hours per week

Future Prospects: Possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff on a managerial level for the right candidate

Training to be Provided at South Devon College and in the Workplace:

(Framework - Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media
Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Certificate – Creative and Digital Media
Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Creative and Digital Media.
Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT at level 2

12 - 18 month contract

Skills required:
IT literate e.g. able to use Mac & PC, MS Office Products. Some knowledge of HTML and CSS of desirable.

Personal qualities:
Hard working and willing to learn
Good eye for detail and interest in Design. Ability to work on own and as part of a team

Qualifications required:
Desirable: Maths, English grade B or above
