Yorkshire Sculpture International / Corridor8 writing residency

Yorkshire Sculpture International (YSI) and Corridor8 are looking for a critical/creative writer to take an active part in the festival's engagement programme.

The selected writer will work with YSI’s Engagement Curator within school and community group settings across Leeds and Wakefield, and contribute to a collaborative publication. At the core of the engagement programme is the concept of ‘material literacy’, an idea which aims to create the space and conditions for people of all ages to explore sculpture-making; reconnecting them with the array of materials and processes used in sculpture today. The selected writer will be supported to work with people to explore this idea of non-verbal and haptic learning, creating a piece of writing that responds to these ideas and their first-hand experience of connecting with the engagement programme.
