Vote on Wed 26 Nov for Crossing the Pennines
Crossing the Pennines" is a travel and transport Heritage Trail through the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Colne Valley.
On WEDNESDAY 26TH NOVEMBER, the Trail volunteers are in the Peoples Millions/Big Lottery competition, for fifty thousand pounds. You can VOTE for them on Wednesday and ask your family and friends to do the same.
The money will restore an ancient packhorse track to complete the Trail, bringing work to local craftsmen, creating stone sculptures and giving skills to young people and attracting visitors to enjoy the hospitality of the Valley’s welcoming cafes, shops and galleries.
It's a telephone vote, so the public will decide! Lines are open from 9am - midnight on Weds 26th November; the numbers to call will be shown on the Trail's own website, www.CrossingthePennines.co.uk and on www.PeoplesMillions.org (under 2014 finalists, Yorkshire) from 9am. A short film about the project will be shown on Yorkshire ITV's news programme Calendar at 6pm, too.
Calls cost 15p from any BT Landline or any mobile phone anywhere in the UK, not just in Yorkshire - please tell your family, friends and colleagues. It’s an automated response, dial 1 or dial 2 for either project: you can make ten calls from any phone, anywhere.
