“Up Your Game” Global Creative Industries Matchmaking event

The Enterprise Europe Network team in Bradford has got together with the National Science & Media Museum, to organise an international business-to-business matchmaking event “Up Your Game”, which will take place alongside the Yorkshire Games Festival hosted by the Museum in Bradford on 7th & 8th February.

The aim of the event is to facilitate collaboration, ideas, innovation and investment in the creative sector (including animation, games, motion graphics, visual effects, VR and AR). Working a little like a “speed-dating” event, it allows businesses in this sector – and in sectors interested in using and implementing these new technologies – to set up pre-arranged meetings with one another to discuss potential cooperation. This event is a unique opportunity for Yorkshire based companies and overseas and we have already secured the collaboration of Network partners from Germany, Sweden, Cyprus and Ireland (amongst others).

We are very aware that there is a strong creative sector in the Leeds City Region and are keen to get the message out to them about this unique opportunity to meet potential collaborators from both the UK and overseas, without leaving the region. It is free to take part in the matchmaking, although delegates will be required to buy a pass for the Games Festival which is available at a very modest cost, £80 for a two-day pass and £40 for one pass. The event should be of interest to businesses in the creative sector, as well as anyone working in sectors who might be interested in using the above mentioned technologies.
