Third Sector Training: Applying for Small Grants
This event is a partnership between TSL Kirklees & Kirklees Council, designed to help community groups find & apply for small grants (up to £10,000) to help them run their projects & activities.
Monday 13 May - 10am to 12.30pm
In the morning, you'll hear from a number of different funds, including:
•the Police & Crime Commissioner's Safer Communities Fund
•Sport Works' community programmes
•Community Plus 'Do Something Now' funding
•One Community's local funds
•The Co-op's Local Community Fund
• National Lottery, Sport England & Arts Council small grants
• Locala's Local Community Fund
and will be able to join a practical group workshop to work on and develop your ideas.
1pm to 2pm (optional)
Then, in the afternoon, you have the option of staying to work on your final application, with expert practical help.
Refreshments will be available all day and a light lunch will be provided for those staying all day. Please let us know if you're planning to stay for both sessions.
Please note: These events are for third sector organisations (charities, community and voluntary groups, and social enterprises) in Kirklees only, and are free to attend. However, we ask that you let us know if you no longer need the place or are unable to attend so that another organisation can benefit, and our funding isn't wasted. TSL Kirklees is a charity that supports other third sector organisations in Kirklees and helps them develop and grow, and we have specific funding that allows us to do that.
