Sheffield Music Academy Administrator
This opening would suit someone with a strong interest in both marketing and arts administration. Alongside strong written skills, and an ability to use all Microsoft Office applications, the postholder should have experience in customer service and be confident engaging with musicians, students, teachers, parents and the public face-to-face. Previous experience of managing social media accounts and websites and event management is essential.
The Administrator is responsible to the General Manager. Working to agreed deadlines and timetables the Administrator will deliver the following services:
Event Management and Marketing
•Lead on the promotion of the Sheffield Music Academy profile and concert series
•Lead on the management and maintenance of the Sheffield Music Academy website and social media accounts
•Lead on the design and distribution of SMA marketing materials
•Management and distribution of the SMA internal newsletter
•Assist in the delivery and event management of SMA Lunchtime and Evening Concerts
Organisational
•Liaison with parents and students; both existing and prospective over the phone, in person and over email
•Office management, including stock control in both the office and on teaching premises.
•Assist in the preparation and ongoing administration of the annual teaching timetable
•Undertake research projects and data analysis as required
•Represent SMA at some external partner events and concerts
•Management of the SMA Music Library
•General administrative duties including data entry, database management, basic financial duties (e.g cash handling and book-keeping) and filing.
•Assist the General Manager with any other duties commensurate with the role including holiday cover etc.
•Assist the Music Director with any other duties commensurate with the role
General
•Ensure continued excellent customer service standards are maintained with colleagues, families, students, audiences, stakeholders and partners
•Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the Academy
•Participate in training and performance development as required
Hours: 22 hours per week including Saturdays during term time
