Project Coordinator (freelance), The Civic, Barnsley
Over the next two years, The Civic will be working with Barnsley Museums and other cultural partners, to collect, share and celebrate the teenage experiences of Barnsley residents from the last 70 years. The project will explore the highs, the lows, the differences, and the marks left on Eldon Street and the wider area by Barnsley youth cultures. This project is called Teenage Wildlife and we are looking for a Project Coordinator to help ensure its success.
Working in collaboration with The Civic’s Visual Art & Engagement team, and supported volunteers and community partners, you will coordinate the Teenage Wildlife project, ensuring it achieves its deliverables; including pop-up oral history events, exhibitions, the development of a digital archive, and volunteer recruitment. Liaise with a range of specialists, consultants, creative practitioners, local historians and archivists and the local community to enable the project to fulfil its aims.
