Post 1: Practitioner: Grade 7 (£17,827 - £20,052 per annum)
Post 2: Senior Practitioner: Grade 8 (£20,651 - £26,140 per annum)
The Department of Logistics, Marketing, Hospitality and Analytics at the University of Huddersfield are seeking 2 part-time event practitioners to join their teaching team. The applicants needs to have a Masters degree and currently working in the Events Industry. That might be someone freelancing, working on seasonal projects, running their own business or in part time employment. This is an exciting opportunity for an active practitioner in the events industry to help deliver on their Service Industries suite (Events, Hospitality, Tourism, & Sport).
As a member of the Events Management team, you will help to deliver teaching to students across the courses in the University's Service Industries suite. They are particularly keen to recruit practitioners with experience and the ability to run “live” events, and with knowledge of current laws / regulations for event planning. You will also have experience of completing event documentation, such as Event Safety Plans and Risk Assessments.
The successful candidate is expected to continue to participate in on-going and substantive professional engagement activities alongside their academic activities
Key Requirements
You will have:
Experience of working in the events industry
Experience of delivering and managing “live” events
