We've been asked to give a shout out for a new film just out called Destination Dewsbury - the Premiere is at the Showcase Cinema in Birstall on Saturday 23 February and on general release from Friday 01 March.
Director Jack Spring says:
"Obviously, I’m really proud of the film and I hope the fact it makes people laugh will encourage more people to go and see it. The folk around here have a great sense of humour and I think that the film will appeal to lots of different types of people. We also want people to get involved on social media, tell us on Facebook and Instagram what you think!
“We’re so happy with what the final movie looks like and I hope people around here have as much fun watching it as we’ve had making it. I can't speak highly enough of the place. We shot in pubs and cafes while locals were actually in there. We had locals cheering once we were happy with the take. I think it's the people who really make the area, and on a limited budget, like we were, having people be so co-operative and helpful was absolutely vital."
Key dates are Premiere at Showcase Cinema in Birstall on Saturday 23 February and general release there is from Friday 01 March.
