Kirklees Innovation Vouchers Scheme to support Businesses
Start-ups (1 year+), sole traders, micro and small (up to 50 employees) businesses in Kirklees can apply for grant funding of £1,500 - £5000 towards accessing specialist knowledge, technology and facilities to support early phase innovation activity. The amount awarded will cover half your costs, up to a maximum total project cost of £10,000.
The voucher must be used to part-fund an innovation project which requires the services of a specialist supplier (including a research consultant), and results in a new product or new/significantly enhanced process.
The funding is to support businesses wanting to do some market research or develop a new product, or do something differently. For example, maybe you want to investigate the stability of a new material for your artwork, or have an idea for a new product and want to do some market research before you invest in it further. Perhaps you need a prototype for a new product and need to get it 3D printed, or maybe you want to improve your customer service and need to develop a bespoke app to do this… Could be anything really BUT the following cannot be supported: the development of a new website, off-the-shelf tech, digital connectivity or general marketing.
Full details of the scheme can be found at the website below.
The scheme runs roughly until March 2023 - unless the monies have been spent before then.
