International Market in Huddersfield City Centre
From Thursday 12 October to Sunday 15 October Market Place brings the International Market to Huddersfield City Centre for a fabulous 4-day event.
New Street, King Street, Cloth Hall Street and Market Place Square will become a bustling market place as up to 50 specialist traders from around the world set up stall for 4 days offering city centre visitors the opportunity to enjoy the fabulous flavours of the continent and to shop the unique arts and crafts of the world.
As the cold autumn weather creeps in come and warm yourself up with the fabulous fresh hot street foods that will be on offer. You will be spoilt for choice as you walk through the market and the aromas of the world will tempt you to try. Take your pick from French, Spanish, German, Italian, Greek, Moroccan, and from a little further afield Indian, Lithuanian and Thai foods…good luck choosing! Don’t forget to leave a little room though for all the sweet treats like freshly-made delicious French crepes and savoury Galettes made on demand for all our customers. From the sweet tooth crepe lovers to the healthy veggies lovers we have options to suit all tastes and diets. We guarantee you will not be able to resist.
Jimmy Beans will be in town with what is probably the biggest selection of Fair Trade flavoured coffee beans and his large selection of different and exotic loose-leaf teas. So those who really love their tea and coffee now is your chance to buy some very unusual flavours, after all us ‘Britons’ are famous for our love of tea!
If you’re looking for a special gift or just want to treat yourself spend time looking around the arts, crafts and jewellery stalls. See what you can discover and enjoy talking to the friendly traders who are more than happy to talk about their products and interest you with their stories. Not only will there be beautiful Italian silk scarves and handmade metal sculptures in hundreds of different models and themes but there will be Amber jewellery which is made in the Baltic Sea in Poland.
