Handmade Parade CIC - Board Members

Handmade Parade CIC is looking for enthusiastic people to join the team as Directors of the Board at a very exciting time.

From their base in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, England, they build communities through high quality, highly accessible art interactions. They are carnival artists, giant puppet makers, street bands and performers that connect with people to grow confidence and create stunning events

They are looking for experienced individuals to join the board, they especially need people with: entrepreneurial business experience; practicing artist or strategic IT experience.

Handmade Parade is at the beginning of a new stage of development, expanding the reach and impact of their work. Their new board members will help guide and support their strategic direction and champion our growth locally, regionally and nationally.

They will be expected to attend leading six meetings and one away day per year, with some commitment to work outside this, depending on the requirements of the business plan.

Board members should:
•have experience of running a business OR IT management OR be a practicing artist
•have experience of strategic planning and risk management
•support the development of the board and ensure decisions are effectively implemented
•support the company to be ambitious, to grow and to take managed risks
•give the role the time and attention it requires
•It would be desirable to have experience of strategic financial planning and budget review and fundraising
