Gender Diversity & Inclusion Training: Festivals & Music Venues
A suite of free in person and online training courses are being offered by Holmfirth Arts Festival for staff and volunteers of Kirklees Festivals and Music Venues thanks to funding from Holme Valley Parish Council and Kirklees Council. Courses include: Emergency First Aid, Safeguarding, Access and Inclusion - Disability, Access and Inclusion - Gender and Stewarding.
This is an online course on gender equity in the events industry.
YSWN’s Gender Diversity and Inclusion training comprises 2 X 1.5 hour online sessions co-facilitated by YSWN Development Manager Heidi Johnson and Co-Director Jo Kennedy, plus Associates.
The training providing insights into different kinds of unconscious bias, highlighting examples of gender discrimination within the events industries and discussing practical approaches to creating a more inclusive workplace including recruitment, pay, progression opportunities, workplace culture and marketing. By the end of the session, you will have created your own Action Plan for change.
The two sessions will be held on 22 March and 29 March
