Have you noticed the flags that have gone up around Huddersfield town centre? Dotted around New Street, Market Street, High Street, Westgate, John Williams Street, Kingsate, Kings Street, Zetland Street and Ramsden Street the flags showcase some of the many arts and cultural organisations and events going on in the town.
The flag campaign has come about from 18 months of joint working and a new approach between.Huddersfield’s cultural organisations who have come together in this shared campaign. The current flags will be on show for 3 months and will then be replaced with new flags highlighting more arts and culture for next year.
Any arts or cultural organisations interested in having a flag or flags should contact Jennifer Dodson at arts.creativity@kirklees.gov.uk immediately for information on cost and timescale (artwork needs to be ready by end of October for flags in the new year).
