It is an exciting time here in Kirklees, with ambitions to develop a dynamic, inclusive, and attractive events programme. Linking to the place-based cultural development initiatives such as Year of Music 2023 and WOVEN in Kirklees, and to our aspirations to develop a visitor offer that is a unique selling point for Kirklees, attracting community-based tourism and visitors from further afield.

Kirklees Council are committed to creating a quality events programme across the year, from in house delivery to working in partnership with others, and enabling community led activity. They aim to grow their events ambition based on excellent customer service, support, training and development of the events industry, as well as a strong in house team working with services across the Council to deliver against our outcomes for Kirklees.

In the expansion of the team, we are looking for dynamic, problem solving proactive individual. With a passion for outdoor events, tourism and promotion, across the whole year, you will be adept at managing competing demands, in multi-disciplinary teams (both with internal departments and external stakeholders).

The role is based in Culture & Tourism, within the Events Team, and will require a substantial amount of evening and weekend working, and working outdoors, to deliver and support events delivery in Kirklees.
