Digital Audience Development Officer - Wakefield Council
Wakefield Council are looking for a dynamic individual to develop, embed and expand their newly developed digital strategy and action plan within the operations of Wakefield Museums and Castles. The role will see you taking the lead on implementing a new strategy and action plan across the team and integrating digital into the ethos of the service.
They are looking for an individual who has proven experience in managing, producing, organising, delivering and evaluating digital engagement content. The role will require you to research and create new and innovative ways of increasing access and engagement opportunities, which showcase our sites and collections. This role is essential to our vision of providing a representative, accessible and community-driven museum service, which engages and connects people of all ages with the varied and fascinating heritage of the Wakefield district
As a part the role they would like an individual who can:
• manage the day-to-day delivery of of their Digital Action Plan, whilst thinking strategically about future plans and development;
• motivate people to playfully explore our collections and sites, and use them as a source of inspiration for creativity and learning;
• encourage inter-generational activity, user-generated content, and active engagement;
• evaluate analytics to diversify audiences through targeted campaigns and activity;
• motivate & support colleagues to tell stories and provide information in digital formats;
• increase accessibility and inclusivity by providing a flexible digital experience for those unable or unwilling to visit our sites in person;
• bring experience of creating online content for a varying audiences;
• bring experience of managing, co-ordinating and supporting others e.g. colleagues and volunteers;
• play a key role in building relationships with partners and stakeholders, internally and externally, to support the development and delivery of digital within the team.
Salary £28,672.00 - £31,346.00, Grade 8, 37 hours, Permanent
