Digital Artists and Practitioners Invitation to Tender, Leeds
Cape UK and other Leeds arts venues are looking for a digital artist to work with college students during June/July.
Background to the project:
A pilot project with Cape UK and other Leeds arts venues to offer College students a 12 day work experience project.
Following visits to a number of arts organisations, the students will be set a challenge to create a resource to share their findings with other young people (through photos, film, blogs etc).
Overall aims and objectives of project:
•To offer college students a challenge to explore the business of the Arts in Leeds
•To explore the wide range of job roles available in the Arts and the skills and attributes needed for these roles
Role description:
We would like to invite submissions from a digital artist to work with College students over two and a half days in June/July.
The artist will be required to support the students to create a digital resource that can be hosted on the Grand Futures website. This could be interviews, clips etc . . .
The artist will introduce the students to interviewing techniques and mobile phone technology, so that they can interview each other & film themselves for a final film which will then be edited by the artist.
Artist to bring own equipment or enable students to use own phones.
Fee:
The fee for this project is £800, to include planning time, resources, use of digital equipment and editing the final piece for presentation.

Friday 24th June - pm
Friday 1st July
Monday 4th July
Experience/Attributes:
•Experience of delivering engaging arts sessions with young people
•Up to date DBS check
•Experience in editing mobile phone clips and creating short films (2-4 minutes)
•Have the software required for editing
•Either be a bronze arts award advisor or to have knowledge of the awards
