Creative Producer at Kala Sangam

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pro rata PA (based upon 37 ½ hrs. full time)
Terms: Permanent contract, 22.5 hours per week
Location: Bradford

Kala Sangam is entering into an exciting phase of development and is looking for an outstanding, experienced individual to lead on the new role of Creative Producer. This is a very exciting opportunity for a talented individual to push the creative boundaries to curate and present cutting edge and innovative work through south Asian and intercultural work.

This dynamic individual will programme high quality south Asian and intercultural work in two seasons per year, develop innovative partnerships with organisations and artists to curate cutting edge work. This role will also include some commissioning of artists/work to respond to a theme or seasonal focus subject to successful fundraising.

Kala Sangam has been established for over 23 years and is based in a thriving arts centre, located in a Grade II listed building in Forster Square, Bradford. We work with a wide range of professional artists and companies promoting south Asian and intercultural arts annually, including music, dance, visual arts and drama. We reach out to all communities and endeavour to develop new audiences through our work.

Recently Kala Sangam has been investing in the building to develop new spaces for sustainability, refurbish facilities to attract creative, community and corporate bookings as well as energy conservation measures to reduce running costs. Hence this role comes at an exciting time and will contribute to the creative strategy and programming of the space.
