Creative Arts Workshop Leader Full and Part Time, Art Works
Positions for individuals with a creative background and caring nature to join the ever expanding team at Art Works. They are looking for individuals that want to use their skills to help adults and young people with learning disabilities and autism reach their creative potential and make a difference to their community through the expression of art and community work. We are interested in any creative medium from Art, Photography, Animation, Film Making, Drama, Dance, etc.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Maintaining, Budgeting and planning creative activities for the service users taking into account each service users needs and requirements. Overseen by directors and managers.
2. Plan and carry out activities on and off-site to improve the service user’s life and creative skills.
3. Develop creative ideas regarding the future of Art Works.
4. Respond to and follow up service user queries.
5. Maintain and develop existing and new service users through and liaison Social Services, Colleges and Schools and other relevant sources.
6. Aid business and organisational development.
7. Maintain and report on equipment, cleanliness and task suitability for service users and centre to ensure the correct level of care is sustained.
8. Where possible assist with marketing activities with the aim of increasing knowledge of the centre.
9. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
10. You will assist in maintaining and develop service user’s life skills, workflow, files, and documentation as well as supporting the Directors in maintaining health and safety on site.
Required to complete role;
Use of Car during work hours with insurance for business and full drivers license.
Relevant qualifications in Art to be provided at interview. Degree level in Creative Medium preferred.
Care/third sector experience not essential but any work will support the application.
Willingness to work at other sites when required as well as numerous trips out.
