After a number of conferences on the subject of the differences and similarities between the practices of arts in health and arts therapies, it was thought timely to hold a conference which discussed the differences in training between the two approaches. Speakers have been invited, therefore, from both Masters’ Level courses in Arts Therapies and those in Arts in Health, including the necessity of cross-cultural training within such courses.

This conference will be of great interest to a wide variety of people, from existing professionals in work in the arts with clients who have special needs, to those who are seeking to train in either of the two fields. It will also be attractive to commissioners who wish to buy in the services of facilitators in arts in heath or arts therapies, who may learn what to expect from leaders in such work, especially to those who may be seeking to set up new arts departments in their own establishments. The conference will attract CPD points and certificates will be issued for those who ask for them.
