Community Manager, ArtWorks South Yorkshire
ArtWorks Sheffield is currently looking for a Community Manager for a small not for profit creative arts and care organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of our organisation through regular monitoring, review, and reflection. This will include meeting targets and ensuring service users are safe. You will work with a small team and alongside the Directors of Art Works. They are not a CQC registered service however they have high standards of work and hope to offer the best service to their artists. Arts Works is a Creative Arts Organisation for adults and young people with learning disabilities.
The post is for 37.5 hours a week 0830-1630 Monday to Friday. Their workshops include Art, Dance, Drama, Photography, and Filmmaking. They are involved in supporting their service users to complete weekly volunteer placements at organisations like The Sheffield Documentary Film Festival, The Retired Greyhound Trust, The Wildlife Trust, and Wentworth Woodhouse (not at present due to Covid). The position requires a management background, care, community, or creativity are preferred. Experience working with people with learning disabilities is a plus and an interest in Art and Creative mediums is a must. They are looking for a caring individual to join the ever-expanding team at Art Works. They are looking for individuals that want to use their skills to help adults and young people with learning disabilities and autism reach their creative potential and make a difference to their community through the expression of art and community work.
You will play a key role in ensuring the management and smooth running of centres. Working closely with the Directors and other staff, voluntary and commercial sector organisations, you will work to ensure Art Works is a vibrant, well-managed service that operates for the benefit of the adults and young people with learning disabilities that attend and the local community. The Manager will be self-motivated but will be fully supported by the Directors.
Salary - £25K-£30K
