The purpose of the Museums and Galleries service is to share amazing stories of past and present to inspire the future. The service helps people to understand their heritage through engaging with their collections so that they can develop a sense of belonging and pride which in turn inspires them to give back to their communities. Their museums, galleries and open spaces are safe, happy environments in which people can be active, learn new things, look at the world differently, make friends, and give something back.

This post delivers highly effective co-ordination of and support for all income generating plans and functions across the service in order to maintain commercial growth and future sustainability, and to ensure the customer experience is full and of high quality.

They are looking for an individual who:

Has experience of working in museums, cultural venues or similar working environment and knowledge of retail.
Has experience of planning and delivering successful commercial activity and developments
Has experience of stock management and procurement
Can communicate effectively with a range of partners and stakeholders.
Has excellent organisational skills to co-ordinate activities across a number of museum and gallery sites
Has experience of implementing, monitoring and managing commercial performance.
