Bright Ideas - One Community

Lots of people have bright ideas to do things differently, to make people’s lives better or simply to spark innovation in our communities. Bright Ideas is a project that will match these great ideas with people who have the skills, experience or passion to make them happen – and even the money to get things moving.

How it works: your idea should help either younger people take a lead in their communities or older people to stay fitter, healthier, and more independent.

Tell them your idea by the 30th September 2016 and how it will make a difference in about 100 words. Between the 15th October and 31st December 2016 they will match the ideas to 10 small teams of skilled volunteers with business, public and charity sector backgrounds. These people will work with your to turn the idea into a full proposal.

In January 2017 you and your team will then pitch ideas to their fund donors who will weigh up which ideas to put their cash and contacts behind. These will be the ideas they think can turn into smart projects that have a real impact. Fund donors are charitable investors who want to invest their money into projects that give the best possible social return.
