Audience & Outreach Development Co-ordinator, Dark Horse Theatre
Dark Horse is a dynamic and innovative theatre company that trains professional actors with learning disabilites and produces highly acclaimed shows that tour.
Over the next 3 years they will be producing 3 new pieces of work and they are looking for an Audience and Outreach Development Co-ordinator to assist in the effective day to day operation of Dark Horse, to liaise with partner venues engaging with groups and individuals to develop a strategy and deliver it with the primary objective of building ‘audience’ for upcoming shows The Garden, Unit 21 and This Is Not An Apology that will all feature casts of professional actors with learning disabilities. To develop relationships, build new contacts and to recruit to any training courses plus any other one off or longer term participatory workshops and projects.
The Audience and Outreach Development Coordinator will liaise with external parties and will generate, facilitate and deliver outreach workshops in line with the show’s marketing plans and for other projects as required. You will work as part of a small team within this established and dynamic theatre company. Flexibility and the ability to work with grace under pressure and to deadlines will be needed.
