Songwriter Competition 2015

We're delighted to announce the launch of Songwriter 2015, an opportunity for young people aged 18 and under from Hertfordshire, to learn how to write, record, perform and promote their own songs.

During the next year, solos, duos and groups can be considered for selection to perform at festivals and gigs by uploading their original songs to the Songwriter online chart at:
www.musicnet-east.org.uk/songwriter

The songs will receive feedback from professional songwriters, industry professionals, promoters and from other young people. We'll also offer workshops, online guidance and advice on Songwriting.

Hertfordshire Music Service will be choosing artists to perform at the Songwriter celebration event in December 2015, and for inclusion in our Hertfordshire Music Service Gala at the Royal Albert Hall in March 2016.

To be considered for this, they should upload their songs as soon as possible, and send us a 30-word biography of how and why they write songs.
