Hertfordshire Life Landscape Painter of the Year 2016

Are you an artist inspired by Hertfordshire’s beauty? Would you love to show your work in a gallery, win £250 cash and have a magazine article written about you?

Then enter Hertfordshire Life’s new competition to find Hertfordshire’s Landscape Painter of the Year 2016. Open to amateurs and professionals working in a range of mediums, this prestigious new prize sponsored by Churchgate Gallery in Hitchin and in association with Paint Out will put your painting of Hertfordshire in front of thousands.

The prize

Exhibition of your winning painting at Churchgate Gallery in Hitchin alongside other finalists. A feature in Hertfordshire Life on you and your work. A cash prize of £250.

To enter, email up to three high-resolution images of your work, including the title of each, the medium and where it was painted, and a brief biography of yourself to competitions@hertfordshirelife.co.uk or go online to hertfordshirelife.co.uk Closing date is December 5, 2016. Finalists will be announced in our February issue and be invited to take part in a show at Churchgate Gallery in Hitchin where we will announce the winner.

Competition rules

Open to residents of Hertfordshire.

Must be your own work.

Must be a painting – can includes oils, acrylic and watercolour on canvas, paper or board.

Must be new work (not previously shown or sold) and available for exhibition in March 2017.

Age limit – over 18.

The judges’ decision is final.

Archant reserve the right to use images in future publicity.

Number of entries limited to three works of art per person.
