Changes to Grants for the Arts (Arts Council England)
(From ACE update 17 June)
From 1 July 2013, the application and assessment process for Grants for the arts will be changing in order to help us streamline our investment process.
The changes include:
• the threshold for small grants - this has been raised from £10,000 to £15,000
• the application process
• the way we appraise applications
• the way we make decisions
Grants for the arts will continue to be our open-application funding programme allowing us to respond to new ideas and new talent.
The changes will mean that more of the Arts Council's time is spent providing a range of development and pre application support to applicants. We hope this will raise the number of new applicants to the programme and the quality of applications. The changes will have no negative impact on success rates for applicants.
