Creative Writing For Those With Dyslexia

Creative Writing For Those With Dyslexia

These workshops are aimed at dyslexic writers who want to develop their creativity. They will be led by a writer who is dyslexic, has published two novels and various articles and short stories, and has been teaching for over twenty years. The workshops are suitable for beginners as well as those who have been writing for a while. They focus on the idea that writing is about practice and not about talent.

Please bring a notebook and pen or a laptop to work on. There will be opportunities for you to share your work with others, and for informal, friendly discussion, but this will be optional--you won’t be put on the spot. The workshops will use free writing, creative visualisation, inspiration from life and character creation exercises to get your creativity flowing. There will be tips for developing your writing further at the end of each workshop.
