The Museum of the Moon
The Moon will be at Doncaster Minster, launching at Light Night on the 16th November, in place for the various events that will take place as part of Right Up Our Streets DN Festival of Light, as well as open drop in sessions throughout the week.
Museum of the Moon is a touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram. Measuring seven metres in diameter, the moon features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface.
Along side the events there will be free open sessions to visit the Museum of the Moon throughout the week at the following times:
Saturday 17th November- 10am- 3pm
Sunday 18th November- 12.30-4pm, 6pm-8pm
Monday 19th November- 10am-12.30pm, 1.30pm-8pm
Wednesday 21st November- 10am-12pm, 2.30pm-5.30pm
Thursday 22nd November- 12pm-8pm
Friday 23rd November- 10am-1pm, 3pm-8pm
Saturday 24th November- 10am-3.30pm
