Illuminate 2018
The event will take place in the grounds of Bawtry Hall from 4pm where there will be entertainment, street theatre, activities for children and food available to purchase before a Parade of Illuminated structures will set off from Bawtry Hall to walk around streets in Bawtry town centre.
The Parade will finish back at Bawtry Hall with a short performance given by Bawtry Mayflower Choir, followed by a short service by the local vicar, the event will close at approx 18.30.
A moving light projection depicting important icons of the Mayflower 400 commemoration will llluminate the front of Bawtry Hall.
Illuminate comes from the Mayflower Compact a document which was the first governing document of the Plymouth Colony, the second signatory being William Bradford of Austerfield who became the governor of the colony for some 30 years.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the parade and celebrate our connections to the Mayflower Pilgrims, their epic journey and our links to America.
As this is an outdoor event we advise you to take note of the weather on the day and dress accordingley.
