Ignition Awards are the fund for exhibitors who want to take their audience development to the next level.

Awards between: £5,000 - £10,000
Funding pot in 2019: £90,000
Expected awards in 2019: 12

Project delivery: May '19 - Mar '20

They're for organisations who have the ability to pilot new film programmes, trial focused audience outreach work and build their successes into sustainable activity.

In 2019, Film Hub North's Ignition Awards focus on supporting projects that align with their key strategic objectives
- promoting equality of access within the exhibition industry,
- developing young audiences
- increasing engagement with screen heritage material.

British Film Hub are also committed to improving access to independent, British and international cinema right across our region, and are looking to support organisations addressing areas of low film provision.

Ignition Awards are open to a range of exhibitors and supported projects can vary in length, scale and format.
