Culture Playground - Family Fun
The Doncaster Cultural Education Partnership are inviting children, young people and their families to come to play out at Doncaster’s Culture Playground. Join us on Saturday 21st July between 10 am – 4 pm for some free family fun. There will be lots to do and explore on the day

EXPECT Arts Celebration
Cast & Sir Nigel Gresley Square | 11 am to 4 pm | Free
Enjoy some free family fun to celebrate young people’s activity in Doncaster. Featuring parachute games, music and dancing. Inside the theatre Expect Arts are taking over Cast’s spaces with workshops, a scavenger hunt, and a family food offer.

Safe Space
Cast | 11 am to 4 pm
The Safe Space is an informal, sensory break-out space, specially designed for those with additional needs. The Safe Space will be open throughout the day and is a quieter, more nurturing and safe environment. Enjoy a range of sensory equipment and music supported by a facilitator throughout the day. Microbes Family Fun Day
The Point | Saturday 21 July | 10 am-1.30 pm | Free
Drop into the fantastic free microbe themed arts workshops, be the first to see the Microbes exhibition, bring a picnic to share in the gallery garden or grab lunch from The Point’s family-friendly café. Organised by darts (Doncaster Community Arts)
Family Fun at the Museum
Doncaster Museum & Art Gallery | 10:30am-3pm | Free
Join us for a day of family fun at the Museum as a new exhibition charting the development of Doncaster Museum is opened. Take part in archaeology-themed activities, crafts, conservation and painting. Trace the history of the museum from Beechfield House to the current Doncaster Museum & Art Gallery, with a sneak peek at the plans for the new Cultural and Learning Centre - due to open in 2020. The Big Donny Stomp
Sir Nigel Gresley Square | 11 am | Free
Create music with quick and easy to learn repeated patterns using your bodies as instruments. The ambition is to fill the square with Doncaster folk who will be led by professional drummer Ian West to make music together. All ages including children and grown-ups can take part - no musical experience required! Just turn up and join in. This session is part of the BBC Ten Pieces project.
