3 Hour Photography Class for beginners and improvers
A three Hour class that allow you to get the best out of your camera.
What will I get out of this morning session?
I will cover the basic principles and controls. You’ll learn how to operate your camera in fully manual mode; how changing aperture, shutter speed and ISO affect image exposure and appearance. We’ll cover the uses and advantages of semi-automatic modes: aperture priority and shutter priority; how and why to bracket images, exposure compensation. We’ll cover image file formats JPEG and RAW, what they are, how they affect the image and why you might chose one or the other. We'll also look at some of thr tricks and techniques for improving your landscape, portrait and wildlife photographs. But if all these terms sound a bit intimidating, don’t worry, we’ll start from basics and all will be explained.
Technique, composition, perspective and lighting
We’ll also look at technique and composition: using lens focal length to alter perspective and Depth of Field, mixing flash with ambient light and using Fill-in Flash to selectively illuminate parts of an image.
All this theory will be balanced by plenty of hands-on practice as, at the end of the day photography is a practical art.
