Residential Impro Course: Models for Creating Instant Theatre
What is a story? What makes people laugh? What holds an audience’s interest and why? From 'The Goons' and 'Monty Python' to 'The Office' and 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' comedy has always depended on improvisation as inspiration.
This three-day course is about unlocking doors for becoming more creative, rediscovering the imaginative world of childhood and discovering new techniques that would help any storyteller, writer, dramatist or poet, making us more receptive and responsive in life.
This course is open to anyone over the age of eighteen. No previous experience or knowledge of performance is necessary and you may well be surprised by the creative person it unlocks. You will be training with just 19 others using the excellent facilities provided by Tonbridge School. The course will be great fun and will culminate with a public improvised performance.
