Callaloo to host The Open Road Carnival Conference (North)

Callaloo are looking forward to hosting their first ever Carnival Conference on Saturday 12th March 2022 at Heritage Quay, on Huddersfield University Campus.
Featuring Guest Speakers from across the UK, this event is one of three Regional Carnival Conferences about Disability, Access and Inclusion. We’ll be sharing the findings from a National Action Research project, funded by ACE and looking at how can we work together remove barriers and improve outcomes for disabled people at Carnival. Access provision at the events includes: blue badge parking - step free route to Conference Space (via lifts) - accessible toilet - BSL Interpreters - Closed Captions (on Zoom & presentations) - Hearing Loop - quiet/rest zone - Touch Tour (tbc) - Assistance Dogs welcome - please let us know if you require access provisions that are not listed here.
