​Ladies’ Day by Amanda Whittington, is a comedy set in Yorkshire in 2005: the year in which Royal Ascot relocated to York racecourse.

The action focuses on four fish factory workers: Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda, for whom life is one hard slog. Until the day they get their hands on tickets to Ladies' Day at the races.

The champagne flows as secrets are revealed and friendships are tested to the limit. In the meantime their accumulator bet is doing well...If their luck holds, the ladies could hit the jackpot – and change their lives forever.
