Candlelit Dartmouth
Candlelit Dartmouth is a festive event which incorporates entertainment, lights, craft and food stalls, craft workshops and a lantern procession. The lantern procession is a beautiful and atmospheric sight around the old streets of the town, with children and families parading their lanterns and musicians and entertainers adding to the spectacle.
Candlelit Dartmouth 2013 will take place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th December.
Friday (from 4pm): Christmas market, entertainers and musicians, carol singing with the BRNC Volunteer Band and a choir, official switch-on of the town's Christmas lights, Santa arrives by boat, Christmas shopping.
Saturday (from 10am): Christmas markets, entertainers and musicians, childrens fancy dress and best dressed Xmas dog show, craft workshops and Santa's grotto in the Flavel, lantern procession, Christmas shopping .
We are still inviting art/craft traders for the Christmas market and places are avialable on childrens and adults craft workshops at the Flavel. We also have a photography competition themed "the Spirit of Candlelit".
