Huddersfield’s first business community hub

The retail unit, named Hello Huddersfield! has been created by Huddersfield BID (Business Improvement District) to welcome businesses and charities to offer meeting space, co-working opportunities. The Hellohuddersfield! shop front is open to the public offering tourist information and gifts.

Located at 5 Market Avenue inside Market Avenue Arcade, in the centre of the town, is the first of its kind in the centre of Huddersfield.

The shop, which is open to the public, will offer Huddersfield-themed gifts and artisan products created by local crafters. Already, five small businesses have their products on display including Indian jewellery, flower jewellery, wax melts, handmade snacks and artwork.

Members of the public and businesses are invited to attend the launch event on Friday 4th February, from 12-7pm where the HelloHuddersfield! team will showcase the facilities available.

Sam Sharp, Manager of Huddersfield BID, commented, “We’re so excited to be able to provide charities, small and micro businesses the much-needed space and environment to be able to thrive.”

“Ultimately our aim is to generate more footfall in the town centre and by creating this valuable space we hope to be able to make a difference.”

Huddersfield BID is a not-for-profit organisation created by levy payers from businesses in the town. The BID is entirely focused on developing Huddersfield into an accessible, safe, vibrant and attractive destination.
