Carol Ann Duffy at Torbay Festival Of Poetry!

Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy makes a guest appearance at the 12th Torbay Festival Of Poetry later on this month. She will be reading some of her inspirational poetry at the Livermead Cliff Hotel, Torbay Road, Torquay on Sunday 28th October 8 - 9 pm. Booking essential! Carol Ann joins the long list of events that are taking place over the Festival weekend beginning with 'I do like to be beside the seaside...' at Living Coasts, Beacon Quay Torquay 7.30 - 9.30pm on Thursday 25th. Local poet and singer/songwriter Maggie Duffy plus friends, open the festival with well known and not so well known poetry and song. Throughout the poetry packed weekend (most events taking place at Livermead Cliff Hotel) there will be open mics, workshops, readings, discussions and much more! Over 32 events to choose from! To whet your creative appetite, actors from Toads Theatre Company will bring some short excerpts from their recent production of as 'As You Like It' accompanied by a few poets who will read short selections from the Bard on Saturday morning ( 27th ) 10.00 - 11.30 am
