Guided Tours at Bagshaw Museum
There is another chance to enjoy a fascinating peep at Bagshaw Museum in Batley on Sunday, 2 December.
Free tours at 1pm and 2.30pm will give an insight into the history of the Victorian Gothic mansion that was once home to the Sheard family. Tour guides will reveal more about the Woodlands (as it was originally called), the Sheard family who built and lived in the house and also about Walter Bagshaw, the curator who turned the house into a museum.
The tours last approximately 45 minutes. They are extremely popular and, with numbers limited, places should be booked on the day at the reception desk.
There will be further tours on Sundays 3 February and 10 March next year.
