Free guided tours of the stunning Victorian Gothic building will take place at 1pm and 2.30pm.
Learn more about the house that was built as a family home by mill owner Gorge Sheard in 1875.
‘The Woodlands’, as it was then known, was acquired for a nominal sum by Batley Town Council following George Sheard’s death in 1902.
Local councillor and businessman Walter Bagshaw, after whom the museum is named, converted the building into a museum which opened in 1911.
The tours last approximately 45 minutes.
