Following a break for Christmas and New Year, Bagshaw Museum’s popular guided tours recommence on Sunday, 3 February. Free tours of the museum in Wilton Park, Batley, will start at 1pm and 2.30pm.
The tours are a fascinating look at the history of the museum and the magnificent Victorian Gothic mansion that houses it. Built as a home for the Sheard family, the mansion was turned into a museum by local councillor and businessman Walter Bagshaw, after whom it is named.
The tours last approximately 45minutes and are family friendly. Numbers are limited so places should be booked on the day at the museum’s reception desk.
The next tour will be on Sunday, 10 March, at the same times.
